TRAI Directs ISPs To Provide Information About FUP
According to the directive, telecom service providers should now provide enough information to its customers about the various existing plans and its Fair usage policy (FUP). It had also mandated service providers to ensure that the connection speed doesn’t go below the minimum specified speed and alert its customers whenever their data usage reaches 80% and 100% of the data usage limit allowed in their respective plans.
We’re half way through 2012, why we still consider 256kbps as “Broadband” is beyond me.
