Welcome to India. To make our country a little more familiar to you, we present ‘The Hinglish Project’. Through this unique font design, you can tell the phonetic sound of a Hindi character by looking at the corresponding Roman letter superimposed on it.
What a brilliant idea. I don’t think this is intended to teach you Hindi, but instead, just make you aware of the phonetics of the language. The font is downloadable from site in .ttf format and you can even purchase Merchandise or a handy phrase book if you want.
I’m kinda surprised this came out of Govt. of India’s Ministry of Tourism.
